Planning for Choirs

Choral Library Database

  • It is worth the time to set up a computer database system for your choral library.
  • Makes finding specific pieces, and information about the pieces much easier.
  • Allows more than one person the ability to easily find music in your choral library. (Helpful when there is more than one choir director.)
  • A well-organized choral library is something nice to pass on to your successor.
  • Enlist the help of someone who uses databases to set up a database system for you. Once the database is set up, it should be easy to regularly enter and update information as your library grows.
